Ungüento Salva Todo (A Salve All) - Concentrate Skin  Balm

Great as an after shower moisture seal, and it's incredible for freshly shaved skin.

THE STORY

My neighbor has an evergreen world in her backyard. Whenever I visit her I have to step out to her backyard to see, smell touch all of her Pine Trees, I feel grounded. Her backyard reminds me of playing in the forest as a kid in my Island Puerto Rico where I grew up, getting pitch in my hair and dirty clothes. I'm lucky to have Pine Neddle Tree around me so I can keep enjoying the brisk, crisp, and clean aroma throughout the seasons, year after year.

The tree offers its resin as a gift to us, once it has done its job for the tree. 

The Piñon Pine is known as the tree of life. It has an earthy, clean aroma that smells like a summer thunderstorm in the high deserts of the west, transporting you to the wet dirt and rocks and desert mesas where the piñon pine grows wild. This salve is inspired by native cultures of New Mexico and southern Colorado remedies after learning about all the benefits of the needles and resin that these trees produce. It took me couples of years of experimenting testing and adjusting to come up with the right formula.

WHAT IT IS

Sacred Piñon is an All Purpose Salve infused with the Pinon sap of the wild Piñon of New Mexico. The resin is only taken from trees when it comes off freely, and never taken with a metal tool to the tree to pry it off. They prefer the gentle approach and the tree is still using the resin to protect itself from infestation. 

This ultra-concentrated salve contains key ingredients from some of the most concentrated tree resins in the world, such as:

• Pinon Pine Resin (Relieves Irritated Skin)
• Benzoin Resin (Relieves Skin Discomfort)
• Tolu Balsam (Calming Redness) 
• Cedar Resin (Antiseptic Anti-inflammatory)

• Boswellic Rich Frankincense Resin (containing pentacyclic triterpenes (for their powerful anti-inflammatory)

THE FORMULA

Wild Grown Milk Thistle and Comfrey and Cottonwood Herbs are macerated in oil for more than a month under the sun. Then strained and used it in this salve for their long history of medicinal use.

Milk Thistle for its antioxidant properties, for its moisturizing and skin protectant moisturizing and skin protectant benefits. 

Inside each comfrey leaf is a gooey sap with healing properties. This sap is the main ingredient in our comfrey oil, which can be used on the skin to moisturize, promote healing, and reduce inflammation.

Cottonwood Bud resin also possess a long, impressive list of additional healing compounds including polyphenols, flavonoids, tannins, antioxidants, anti fungal and antimicrobial compounds. Tannins are astringent, meaning they draw skin tissue together helping reduce swelling and sooth inflammatory skin conditions.

Tamanu Oil, Cupuacu Butter, & Tucuma Butter and Cocoa Butter provide emollience, conditioning, & recovery.

Directions for Use: Begin with a cleansed skin. Then scoop out an almond sized and apply it to desired area of skin and massage it in. Use 4-6 times daily or more as needed for best results and relief. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.
