A Deodorant Paste in a jar with shea and cocoa butters and coconut oil base, that you massage a pea sized amount into your arm pit each day.

Our deodorant paste easily absorbs when rubbed in, leaving a slightly powdery feeling on the skin due to the other ingredients, with the bonus of a sublime scent.

The paste-to-powder formula is blended with botanical including arrowroot works to absorb moisture, while the Magnesium Hydroxide Powder neutralizes odour.

*Please Note: This is NOT an antiperspirant, and does not contain the harmful ingredients the prevent your body from sweating. Your body needs to sweat to eliminate toxins, but this does help absorb your sweat to keep you feeling dry and smelling fresh!*

Magnesium Hydroxide

What is Magnesium Hydroxide? It's a slightly alkaline crystalline compound Mg(OH)2 that is obtained by hydration of magnesia or by precipitation (as from seawater by lime in the production of magnesium chloride) as a white nearly insoluble powder and is used chiefly in medicine as an antacid and laxative.(source)

Effective: Magnesium Hydroxide is not an antiperspirant, so it won’t stop you from sweating, but will prevent body odor.

WARNING: Some more sensitive people will react to Magnesium Hydroxide in this formula.

Coconut Oil is unfriendly to odor causing bacteria.

Shea & Cocoa Butters soothe and moisturize.

ALLERGENS & SENSITIVITIES
If you are allergic to shea butter you can can choose the option shea butter free.
Please be advised that our products are made in a facility that also handles wheat and nuts. Many of our ingredients include derivatives from nut oils, nut butters, seeds, and fruit. Please read our labels carefully and do not use our product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients listed.
If you have sensitive skin, we strongly recommend that you test our product on a small patch of skin and check for sensitivity before using the product as directed.

All of the ingredients used to create The Organic For You's skin care and beauty products are generally non-irritating and considered safe. Nonetheless, sensitivities can occur as a result of almost any substance, natural or synthetic. Should you believe that you are experiencing a sensitivity to any of our products, stop using the product immediately.

Beeswax also has antibacterial properties and is the wax product used to solidify our deodorant. Beeswax has a light and pleasant honey aroma and won't clog pores.

We carry a vegan deodorant formulated with Candelilla Wax instead of Beeswax which is vegan friendly.

Cocoa Butter, Theobroma cacao, a prime pressed creamy yellow butter from the seed of the Cacao Tree, has the distinct aroma of chocolate. Cocoa butter is an excellent all over the body moisturizer as it acts as an emollient (softening and soothing to the skin) that adds a protective layer that locks in natural moisture. Cocoa butter is a good ingredient in deodorants because it prevents the skin from drying and peeling, as well as soothing burns, rashes or infections.

Essential oils smell wonderful and are unfriendly to bacteria.

We carry an unscented version too.

Arrowroot Powder, Maranta arundinacea, made from a starch extracted from the rhizome of the arrowroot plant, is most often used in cooking as a replacement for cornstarch in thickening puddings and sauces. It imparts a silky texture to body creams and helps decrease the oily feeling of natural oils and butters. A great substitute for cornstarch for those with corn allergies, arrowroot powder also helps absorb perspiration.

VEGAN DEODORANT INGREDIENTS: Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Candelilla Wax, Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil, Arrowroot Powder, Magnesium Hydroxide, Essential Oil Blend of; Ylang Ylang, Bergamot, Sandalwood & Jasmine Absolute Oil or Unscented

You can choose in the options section how would you like your deodorant base.

APPLICATION: Measure one scoop of Botanical Deodorant Paste with the spoon provided (about a pea sized amount) and apply to the armpits with your finger tips. Use with caution after shaving. A pea size amount should be sufficient for both armpits, (increased if required or if plenty of underarm hair is present!).

The product dries to a powdery finish for gentle moisture control. It’s aluminum free so you will experience natural sweating but you won’t stink. What a relief! Freshness usually lasts about 6-8 hours with moderate activity.the paste has firmed in the jar, rubbing between the fingers will re soften.

The Organic For You doesn't believe in using any extra ingredients such as hardeners, thickeners or preservatives so our Botanical Deodorant Paste may melt in hot temperatures. Keeping our Botanical Deodorant Paste in a cool place such a bathroom is preferred to maintain the creamy texture, but it will still work just as well no matter the consistency.
Our deodorant paste come with their own mini bamboo spoon to help make it super easy to scoop out your paste.

The Organic For You aims to reduce our ecological imprint by choosing the greenest option. We've chosen glass for our Botanical Deodorant Paste to reduce the use of plastic(eco-friendly, recyclable and reusable). While we have looked at the option of having a cardboard and compostable push-top deodorant, the cost is prohibitive at the moment and we've had feedback that it can be messy and difficult to use.
