Let Support Our Tropical Rain Forest - El Yunque

As a Puerto Rican I have a strong and intimate connection to the El Yunque National Forest. Every year when I visit my Island I go to El Yunque, As soon as I get there, I take off my shoes and start walking in bare foot. I feel grounded and protected walking in the forest, felling its cool and moist soil.

I got very emotional when Hurricane María hit the island on September, 2017 leaving El Yunque completely defoliated.

El Yunque is a very special place for many Puertorrican, because it's the forest that has the highest biodiversity than all of the other forests combined in terms of plant species. It is home to more than 250 native plant species and almost 200 vertebrates, many of them endemic to El Yunque, including one of the world's most endangered birds, the Puerto Rican parrot.

The Organic For You is proud to be a champion of conserving the only tropical rain forest in the United States, and home of the Puerto Rican Coqui, El Yunque National Forest.

For every bar we sell, $0.50 will be donated to the National Forest Foundation's El Yunque Stewardship Fund. Consider an additional donation in your shopping cart today!
